Anyway.. I’m completely enthralled with Hail To The Thief.. completely fucked with Uni deadlines.. and work is killling me.. Oh.. and i haven’t been with Em for what feels like AGES (isn’t this meant to be a holiday?)

happy easter
happy easter everyone! .. special easter messages go out to michelle shell and jina.. thanks for the lil images guys! (if i missed anyone, please comment and harrass me!)
I haven’t posted a Flash driven site for a while (since March 19th) .. and to most people this would be a pleasant thing, but via Goatee Style i stumbled upon Cursed Amusement.. First off i must warn everyone, that if u are scared of clowns, you will either love or hate this site. In any case this place is worth checking out, even though the content leaves a lot to be desired (ie: not much), the wonderful and quirky way the information is presented to you is great.
I haven’t heard much about “Underworld”.. but from the trailer it’s either going to be a very cool action movie (matrix vs blade) .. or a really sucky wire-based action movie. (the one).. lets just hope it’s option 1. (either way, the preview is pretty cool.)
.. can’t forget to plug Jamye for the plug.. *plug*

..makes me furious
Just got back from Anger Management .. hehe.. i chortled..Oh how i chortled.. i must also thank daev + nic for shouting the movie.. tis good thanks :)
So during the drive home i plonked in a lil bit of radiohead ie: “Kid A”.. and it brought back a flood of memories/feelings/emotions.. and from these it got me thinking about albums to “have sex to”..talking to bj + daev about this a while back they both thought that “blood, sugar, sex, magic” by the peppers was one of those albums.. i disagreed.. saying “Kid A” was a hell “sex” album.. what do you guys think?.. If i wasn’t going to say “Kid A”, i’d definately say a mish-mash of portishead and the more soothing massive attack (most trip-hop albums are “sex” albums).. so yeh.. what do you guys think are good “have sex to” albums?
On the topic of sexy, the .. sexy jina made me a fansign.. ayayayay!

and “no” ;)

it must be a girl thing
Watched Murder By Numbers and xXx last night after mum took us out to dinner to celebrate her getting more work. We went to this new noodle bar which opened up at the cafe i used to work at (which closed down:P) .. dinner was okay, and whilst waiting for our mains i nipped down the vid-store and rented those 2 movies. Murder by Numbers was okay, nothing speccy, the teenagers in this movie were pretty damn evil.. I always get surprised by just how evil young actors can be. .. and then onto xxx.. I didn’t know exactly what to expect from this movie.. and even with no expectations, i was still severely let down. I mean, they even stole the GTO that he drives in the end of Fast and the Furious. And urgh.. can vin diesel get any uglier (i know a lot of you will hate this) .. but that guy is horrid. Horrible head, disgustingly bad at kissing (he kisses like bad porn people!).. and i think the whole huge-arms are a bit too much arnold schwarzenegger in conan the barbarian… but as you all know.. this is just my humblest of opinion. So i see nothing wrong with people digging Vin.. it just certainly isn’t me.
It must be a girl thing.

welcome to channel x
firstly, i have to mention that the rumours are true.. my tapeworm is in fact seeing another… That being out in the open now, if you see 2 tapeworms going for a walk in your local park, or seeing a flick down the cinema (with some system playing) .. just ignore them. Especially the parasitic bitch wearing the hot mini-skirt (what happened with our relationship??.. what happened to OUR relationship!??!!?)
Anyway.. now that that’s out of the system, you must all check out this quicktime movie. It’s of the new Honda Accord advertising campaign.. and it’s CLASSIC! That add is filmed in real-time folks. Yep.. that means that it’s not CG’d.. it’s not some nifty trick.. everything you see actually happened like that. (though it took about 606 takes to get it to work!)
What do I have planned for the next couple of weeks (because i’m on a short uni-break).. well.. all i know is that in the upcoming 2 weeks (not including this week) we (melange) have 3 shows on… i’m really really excited about all of this! (i’m hoping that they all go off as flawlessly as they have been .. and as comfy as the band has been feeling)
Lastly, i finally got a mirrorproject pic up.. you can see it here (it’s just the same as my recent camstill)..
anyway.. adios

all complete
so finally i’ve finished updating all the other pages on this site.. so it’s all in the new .. *way* if that’s what you want to call it.
Anyway, i have to keep this short, as i can feel the onset of a headache nibbling at the base of my skull, so after this entry i’m off to sleep.
1stly, melange played last night at the Hyde Park hotel. It was a lot of fun :)Initially i was quite apprehensive about the show. The hydey is known for it’s small room with close encounters styled shows, with only the singer getting a mic .. and the band playing on the floor.. kind of environment. But.. i feel, it all went off without a hitch (and in fact i had a barrel - o - fun!)
Last week on Monday I went and saw a really bad movie (or was it Sunday) with “wtf”.. saw Dreamcatcher.. but because it had The Final Flight Of The Osiris short flick before it, the evening wasn’t a complete waste of time+money. Now, for those who don’t know what this is, let me fill you in. The Wachowski brothers (who brought us the matrix) are going to release 2 more Matrix films this year (within 2 months of each other) .. a series of 9 animated matrix-based short-movies .. 4 of which are downloadable, the rest to be shown in cinema’s and finally to be released on a dvd (we hope) .. at the same time as all of this.. they also plan to release a HUGE game (cos the Wachowski brothers are so into games)
So “The Final Flight Of The Osiris” is one of the 5 animatrix short-flicks that isn’t going to be downloadable.. and it rocked. It was done by the same guys who did Final Fantasy .. and some of the characters were obviously re-used..It’s great because it fills in a bit of the history relevant to the next couple of matrix films..*rubs hands together*..
anyway..
For everyone else..there’s Rez+Vibrator

George - Polyserena
URL: www.george.net.au
Tracks:
1. Release
2. Breaking it slowly
3. Special Ones
4. Rain
5. Truth
6. Bastard Son
7. Strange Days
8. Chemical Dreams
9. Sellout
10. Run
11. Breathe in Now
12. That’s when you come to me
13. Spawn
Why: Was fixing my sisters computer at her place, and the cd was there.. we got chatting about it.. she told me she bought it as a “spoil-oneself” gift.. but only really liked one song (Breathe In Now i think).. she said i could borrow it.. and so i did.
Thoughts: Wow!.. Obviously a handful of trained musicians.. everything about this album is just so tight and professional. I’m such a dick for not going to their show (last time they played here in perth i think they played with the local symphony orchestra).. The brother/sister (both sing seperately on tracks) really works for me. They both are blessed with amazing voices (can anyone say Jeff Buckley?) .. And because they’re both the primary song-writers, it brings in a lot of mixture to the album. I found this cd like a nice hybrid of jeff buckley/radiohead .. really touched my soft spot ;P .. favourite tracks you ask? I think i’d have to say track 9.. “Sellout” Wow.. when the drummer starts on this track.. it’s like .. a groovy portishead feel that is just thick and juicy!.. ahh.. great album!

Easterman - The Seventh Sanctuary
Daniel Easterman - The Seventh Sanctuary
Blurb: “Murder shatters the sleepy calm of a Cambridge cloister. On the other side of the world, archaeologist and Mossad agent, David Rosen is attacked, and his Arab assistant brutally slaughtered. In Israel two elderly people are disintergrated in a bomb blast.
Soon the connection between these seemingly disparate deaths plunges David into a labyrinth of intrigue as challenging as the ruins of the city he excavates. His search for the killers leads him to the Sinai desert, to the Palestinian Leyla and to the lost city of Imram, a city as old as Babylon, a city that someone wanted to stay lost for ever the seventh sanctuary is where the forces that want to unleash a new holocaust in the Middle East are gathering. Only David Rosen has the chance to stop them. And it’s a chance that gets slimmer with each second that slips away…”
Why: Found it in the library/study/spare-room .. needed something to read.. This title also jumped out at me because of the swastika bird on the front (having just read a fairly war-esque novel)
Thoughts: Great book. Plenty of interesting stuff, it’s one of those, “secret nazi-driven pure society that has been thriving in isolation until modern times when it’s ready to spill out and destroy humanity” books. But all in all quite an adventure, especially when u stumble into this great lost city, the book surprises you and continues onto more hidden deeply political espionage-style story. Great read.. the end’s slightly ominous though (which does make it pretty good :) )

Anyway.. couple of things i have to share..this post by William Gibson is classic!.. all who have their head on straight when it comes to crazy binary calculations go have a read and a chuckle. (thanks to go emma for bringing this to my attention)
Also, in the whole anti-war spirit of things, i recommend everyone go download Ani Difranco’s song “Self Evident”.. great pce of music! (or half-spoken word if u will).
OoO.. i was also going to have a whinge about michelles site being down.. BUT.. she got a new version up.. so what are you waiting for!.. check it out!
