.. i’m officially (sorta) on holidays now, and I don’t think it’s kicked in til JUST then. When i realised that i haven’t actually done any sort of productive (uni wise) stuff all week, and i saw a movie last night Bruce Almighty and another movie today! The Hulk wasn’t as bad as i felt it was going to be, though I’m still un-clear on the whole huuuuge-leaping thing he can do. (is this legit? could he do this in the comic?.. i never read this marvel masterpiece so i don’t know)
Anyway.. I’m starting to feel a tinkering for a new layout (“finally” i hear you all think!) just under the surface of my .. creative-lobes but i do have a list of “todo” stuff.. a couple of which are money oriented. ..
So Farinata (new computer) is all setup, you can see some inspiration for his name here, and i’ve been spending most of his newly awoken days playing Mafia.. which is very similar to GTA3 (and vice-city).. but in Mafia u drive round as a ganster in the 1930s! (yeeee)
Anyway, on a more geekier finale than normal i’m going to discuss my recent foray with a fairly useful (possibly) RSS-Aggregator tool, AmphetaDesk. Now for those confused out there, you can get more information on RSS/XML/Aggregation/Why/How etc from both this ScriptyGoddess entry or from a more generic (and reader-friendly) style article from The WebMonkey (Courtesy of Lycos)..

JRR Tolkient – Lord Of The Rings The Fellowship Of The Rings
Blurb: –no blurb– this book is one of the 1976 copies.. it’s all paper.. is smells of old.. and is ratty.
Why: We’ve had the books for ever, well before i was born and i suppose i just couldn’t put it off any more. I’ve read the hobbit once when i was younger, and attempted it in later years.. and didn’t like it. I suppose that’s why getting myself to reading this was quite hard.. but i enjoy the movies so much i just had to check these out.. and lo and behold.. i quite enjoyed myself.
Thoughts: It’s a classic. In retrospect it’s quite strange to see how much they changed the story for the screen. It is to be expected, but I wasn’t expecting them to go so all out on the changes. Quite a lot in the dvd-extras they talk about how they all love and respect the book yada yada.. yet they added SO much at the end!
But i still liked it.. looking forward to reading the tt.. but gotta read some pattern recognition first :)
well.. i’m with my new (much better) ISP now.. but becaose of the change.. chances are big chunks of this site are gonna fuck up big-time :)
SO ignore any screw-ups.. i think worst-case scenario is a messing up of all the images.. i’ve got 1 exam left.. then I’ll worry about all this.

Well.. here’s to no porn for a bit!
I must be the suckiest person to sleep with, not in the sexual sense (cos i’m a sex-machine right?) but in the sense that i find it really hard to sleep facing someone. Thankfully Em’s put up with my nasty backwards-sleeping habit for 2-3 years now, but last night was one of those occasions where it just felt right (and not awkward?) to sleep in a mess of limbs in semi-snuggled sort of way. I wish i knew the formula for this sleeping pattern, because when it works, i *really* enjoy it.. .. Shrug, i’m a freak.
Anyway, the show last night was okay. The 30mins went REALLY quick, and the venue was a bit odd (GIANT stone-pillar in the middle of the area just in-front of the stage).. but it was fun, and by the end of the evening the place was pretty full. .. Thanks to Grandcentral, The Fergusons and End of Fashion for putting on a great night.

last post was my official 100th post and i forgot to mention it!
Anyway, i should theoretically have another full-day of study in front of me today, broken up by tomorrow by rehersals and the show tomorrow night. Hopefully it’ll be huge
Anyway.. i was actually going to post(and whinge naturally) about those mornings when you wake up, and find no bread to make your breakfast toast with, but then after you’ve eaten SHITTY cereal, you find the bread!.. ARGH.
That’s the morning I had!
At least i had this to cheer me up, and make me realise that it is perfectly okay to portrey your emotions through real-life-emoticons.
