A Perfect Circle - Live
Last night was the A Perfect Circle concert.. and .. WHOA.
Easily one of the best live shows i have ever seen, which is funny because until last night i’m sure the Tool concert last year stood up to be the crowned-king forever. Don’t get me wrong, the Tool concert was a life-altering occasion, but last night seemed much more intimate, much more user-friendly. The band sounded great, maynard’s voice was just terrific, the light show was interesting but also showed the band quite a lot (it was weird getting good glimpses of maynard, especially compared to his more secretive floor-show for Tool concerts). Meanwhile, Josh Freese over on the drums was amazing. The guy easily had the best live-drum sound i have ever heard! Every floor-tom hit was like a deep-resounding boom that shook the room, and his fills just sounded excellent every single time .. very very impressive.
What was a bit funny was the volume, in that it was extremely loud, into the realm of pain loud. Daev and I were quite near the front, but after 1 and a half songs the front-stack of speakers was just hammering our heads so much we decided to move further back to near the sound-desks, i don’t think i’ve ever heard such a loud show before.
My favourite songs?
The Outsider
The Nurse Who Loved Me
The Package
The Noose
Blue
The Hollow
Brena..
ah stuff it.. all of the tracks were fucking excellent!

busy busy bee
My god i’ve been busy the last couple of weeks. My time has been consumed by 3 things, Work, Uni, LAN.
Work: The Friday - Monday block was consumed with somewhere in the realm of 30hrs of work, plowing through this HUUUGE project which needed to be signed off by the client on Monday evening. Anyway, the work paid off and all that’s left is tiny tweaks, and a possible run-through to re-check the efficiency of everything.
Uni: Reading Reading and More Reading.. I’ve even sort of opened up a blog that i’ll update with links and other stuff from time to time .. you can check it out over at hons.un-excogitate.org .. you’ll have to parden the default MT layout, but unfortunately that’s there to stay.. and also be warned, most of the entries will be highly tech in content..
LAN: Woooo. finally.. the first LAN we’ve had in freakin’ AGES! .. Blair held a lil doo @ his abode which consisted of 12 people.. It was great.. definately motivated me to hold an 8person-event at my place some time in the future, especially because it’s only Amy, Mike and I living here now!
Anyway.. i need to go shower and go to uni to be blasted by the professors and academics!

fire..fox?
okay.. so i just installed Firefox and it appears much like their old Firebird browser .. which is a good thing because it was a great browser.. unfortunately somewhere during the installation it decided to delete a chunk of my favourites.. and thank god it deleted all of my “Uni” favourites because who would ever think that i’d need them! </sarcasm>
So once again computer.. you’ve deprived me of my bookmarks .. and for that i spite thee!
