busy week

I’ve had a pretty damn busy week this past week.

Firstly last Wednesday we had a gig down at mojos. Even though the pub wasn’t too busy the atmosphere still felt good and we ended up playing a really cruisey set. I’m looking forward to our mojos residency in April. We’ll be playing there every thursday for the month. I know last time we did it we took the whole thing fairly relaxed. We’re hoping that one of the shows will be more of an acoustic thing with just Byron and Daev performing - which means I’ll be able to sit back and just chill.

Thursday night i caught up with some old high-school friends for a coffee at a place called Tiamos. Was good seeing old faces but I didn’t stay too long. Considering most of the people there work 8-5 i don’t know why they chose to have a coffee so late in the evening. We all commented on how it would be good to do this more often but I can’t actually see that happening.

Friday was drinks for a friend’s birthday at the Belgium Beer Cafe. Sara unfortunately had a really hard/awful day and couldn’t make it back out to the city. In the end I had 3 or 4 Hoegaardens then ended up eating curry with Ant (who leaves for the US on Wed) until around 9 - 9.30pm. The night was okay - I know it could have been much better if Sara had been there but it was good to catch up.. :|

Saturday night - was monster party night. Sara and Nick got dressed up big-time. Me? I took the easy way out and just wore a stupid mask and a little cape. we played a couple of sets during the evening which was good. I think it was the first time we’d played outdoors before - it’s amazing how the sound just shoots up and away from you. The party would’ve been excellent had a) there been less than a million millipedes and b) neither sara or I had to drive home. There are some pics floating around nick’s and sara’s flickrs.

Ahhhh - now I’m off to have delicious italian.

Be jealous all!
