Security Bloggers Network
Not that I’m good at advertising it as such, but the Security Bloggers Network (SBN), is not only one of my favourite RSS feeds, but also something I’m very happy to be affiliated with. Alan Shimel over at the Still Secure blog does a great job of running the service. A couple of weeks back, much to his and everyone else’s dismay, Google decided to stop offering blogger networks.
But where there’s a will there’s a way and Alan got the SBN setup with a new home. The feed itself I believe is provided by Lijit, but the new homepage is available at:
So please, go check it out, sign up to the feed, if you blog maybe get yourself included too. There is SO much great security content flowing through there you won’t regret it.

Wordpress Twitter 2FA Plugin (*cough* hack *cough*)
Well a few months ago I mentioned that I’d been working on a plugin (more what I’d like to call a hack, please anyone out there who is good with Wordpress plugin development feel free to make this more usable) that would integrate the Wordpress authentication screen with Twitter’s Direct Message (DM) capabilities. The end goal was to leverage the DM-to-SMS functionality of Twitter to integrate a primitive form of 2nd factor authentication for my Wordpress blog.
Unfortunately, since Twitter dropped SMS capability here in Australia I haven’t really done any work on the plugin.
Anyway, for those who want to check it out you can grab it from here:
